"Born and raised in Lawrence Kansas, was an outgoing child and naturally bright, friends call him "Jimmy", only his father called him Mortimer. Fascinated with religion, mythology, and all tales of fantasy, dreams of being the next Tolkien. His Mother died when he was very young and when he was a child, she would read him fairy tales every night before he went to bed. He has two older brothers, Sean Francis and Aaron Patrick, Sean is the older brother and after he left the Marines has gotten heavily into drugs and is rarely seen. His father runs a used book store with Jimmy's older brother Aaron, used college text old paperbacks mostly, and was very distant. Jimmy got into some trouble in his teenage years with drugs, truancy, other common rebellious kids crap. Went to KU not really knowing what he wanted to do, it was local and he could hang around with his friends until he decided what he wanted to do with his life. Changed his major many times, studied Theology, Philosophy, and History, until he finally realized that as much as he loved all those mythical stories, he loved creating his own more. He is now working on getting his Master of Fine Art in Creative Writing. Jimmy occasionally has a story published and works part time at the university researching for some profs. He has had the chicken pox, and the normal shots for other childhood diseases, never really been seriously sick. He often hitchhikes across the country, he doesn't own a car, to see a band, museum, famous site, or just for shits and giggles. Although not a tough guy, is fairly fearless, relies on his sharp wit to get him out of trouble. "
